Arrow Spotlight: Riverside and Tangram Schools

Once again, Harry Potter cast his magic over Riverside. But this time, it wasn’t the boy wizard, it was Harry, the calm and unassuming 4-year-old corn snake.

Students were captivated as they held him one by one, careful to keep him safe while admiring his every move. Harry slithered gently from hand to hand, sparking joy, curiosity, and plenty of smiles. It was a heartwarming reminder of how much our students grow through new experiences.

Meanwhile at Tangram, classrooms were buzzing with activity. Vocational studies students put real-world skills to the test in big and small ways.

Some followed recipes to whip up tasty pizza pockets, while others tackled chores in the apartment and tended the garden beds outside. A group rolled up their sleeves at a local car wash, scrubbing and vacuuming until a work vehicle sparkled. at Mo’s restaurant, students practiced job skills like wiping menus and tables, learning responsibility and teamwork with each task.

These moments are building confidence and independence that will carry far beyond the classroom!
