ARROW’S CROSSROADS COMMUNITY

Healthy, well-adjusted adults often share several key foundations—such as education, practical life skills, emotional intelligence, social awareness and strong role models to guide them. Unfortunately, many youth in foster care have limited access to these essential supports and face significant gaps as they prepare for adulthood.

That’s why building these skills is especially critical for youth in care. At Arrow’s Crossroads Community—our transitional living program for young women—we provide the tools, guidance and stability they need to navigate this important stage of life and step confidently into their futures.

OVERVIEW

Arrow’s Crossroads Community supports adolescent girls as they prepare to live independently after leaving the foster care system. Located on a campus designed to promote growth and independence, the program offers both dormitory-style housing and apartment-style living for up to 22 residents. As they gain skills and demonstrate readiness, residents have the opportunity to move from shared dorms to more independent, cottage-style apartment homes—serving as a stepping stone toward adulthood.

Each young woman receives individualized life skills assessments, personalized training, trauma-informed care and comprehensive treatment planning through a multidisciplinary team. While at Crossroads, residents stay actively engaged in the local community by attending school, holding jobs and building relationships with volunteers and mentors who serve as positive role models.

Together, these experiences help lay the foundation for a confident, capable transition into adulthood.
