In 2025, the Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services (TACFS) named 4Kids4Families Regional Kinship Manager for 4Kids4Families, Skye Hayes, as this year’s SSCC Staff Member of the Year.
The award is a high honor in Texas child welfare as it recognizes staff across the state who demonstrate extraordinary commitment to children and families.
“It makes me emotional,” 4Kids4Families Regional Kinship Manager Skye Hayes said. “God uses me as a vessel to continue to make an impact, not for myself, but for our families so I’m eternally grateful knowing that I’m making a difference by continuing to serve.”
In her role, Hayes’ leadership has strengthened outcomes for families while building a culture of trust and stability among her team. Also, the kinship program’s team has achieved zero turnover.
Director of Placement with 4Kids4families Melissa Bennett describes Hayes as: dependable, someone who works with excellence and resilient.
“We’re seeing such a huge impact with permanency and closure for our kinship families, the amazing work Skye and her team are doing directly contributes to that,” 4Kids4families Director of Placement Melissa Bennett said.
Jay Pruett, COO of Arrow, said Hayes’ recognition reflects her personal passion and the organization’s mission.
“Skye’s passion for helping kinship families is representative of Arrow’s dedication to supporting families of origin and her selection as SSCC Staff Member of the Year is an incredibly proud moment for this organization.”
Through her training, advocacy and hands-on support, Skye Hayes strengthens kinship placements and helps ensure children can remain with their loved ones, work that earned her recognition as the TACFS SSCC Staff Member of the Year.
