Arrow joined FOX45 in Baltimore Tuesday Feb. 17. to discuss Treatment Foster Care and the urgent need for more families to step forward in the state of Maryland.
Rob Basler, Arrow’s Associate VP, spoke about the growing number of youth in foster care across Maryland and the critical role Treatment Foster Care parents play in providing stability and hope. He encouraged families to consider answering the call, while also reminding viewers that there are many ways to support children and families beyond becoming a foster parent.
During the segment, Basler introduced Arrow’s new campaign, “More Than a Number,” which underscores a powerful truth about youth in foster care.
“We talk a lot about the number of kids who need a home but behind that number are teens and young adults who have their own stories, goals and dreams,” Basler said.
The discussion emphasized that young people in foster care are more than case files or statistics. They are individuals with potential who deserve to be seen and supported by adults who believe in them.
Basler also reassured viewers that Arrow walks alongside its foster families every step of the way, providing training, resources and ongoing support so no family feels alone in the journey.
