Over the past three years, the Lopez family provided a nurturing and supportive home, encouraging both youths to maintain meaningful connections with their biological family through visits and phone calls. While Amy and Patrick were not originally placed as a pre-adoptive placement, they quickly became cherished members of the family.
When reunification and other family options were no longer possible, the plan shifted to adoption, a step making their bond official.
On September 17, 2025, the Lopez family officially grew by two, as Amy and Patrick found their forever home. Their story is a beautiful reminder of the power of love and the life-changing impact of adoption.
