Reunification Month

Stories of Healing. Moments of Hope. Futures That Shine

Every June, we celebrate National Reunification Month and recognize the strength, resilience and commitment of families working to reunite after experiencing challenges that led to separation. Reunification is more than a milestone, it is a journey of healing, growth and renewed hope.

At Arrow, we believe children thrive when families are supported, empowered and given the resources they need to succeed. Through compassionate services, community partnerships and unwavering support, we help families overcome obstacles and build stronger futures together.

A Story of Healing, A Future that shines

Every reunification journey is unique, but each one is rooted in resilience, healing and hope.

Take Crysten and Aiden’s story, for example. After a struggle with addiction led to the separation of her family, Crysten Smith found herself seeing her son Aiden for only one hour each week. Determined to reunify with her child, she committed to recovery, participated in counseling and parenting classes and worked tirelessly to create a safe and stable home. Throughout their journey, Aiden received support through Arrow’s Behavioral Health Services, helping him process emotions and develop healthy coping skills.

Over time, hope replaced uncertainty, visits grew longer and their bond grew stronger. Today, Crysten and Aiden are reunited and continuing their healing journey together. For them, reunification means more than returning home, it means sharing everyday moments, rebuilding trust and creating a brighter future together. Their story is a powerful reminder that with perseverance, support and hope, families can heal, reconnect and thrive. Click here to read the full story.
