One Arrow family is celebrating a milestone that’s been years in the making.
The Rayburn family officially adopted their son, Chase, during Smith County Adoption Day, marking the end of a three-year journey toward making their family whole.
Chase, who is deafblind, has been thriving in their home, surrounded by love, patience and a shared commitment to communication.
Kelly Rayburn, a deaf education teacher, and her family have embraced American Sign Language together, building connection and understanding every step of the way.
“When we started, we didn’t know that we were missing a piece, but ever since he’s come there’s been no way that he could ever leave us,” Kelly Rayburn said.
The Rayburns recently shared their story with KLTV, highlighting not only the challenges but the joy, growth and deep bond that define their family.
