Tracey Coleman, Arrow Child & Family Ministries’ director of community engagement, has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Chesapeake Gateway Chamber of Commerce.
Coleman was officially sworn in during A Night for Legacy and Leadership on Jan. 29 at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, an event celebrating leadership and community impact across the region.

The election followed a multi-step nomination and approval process led by the Chesapeake Gateway Chamber of Commerce. Her nomination was first presented by the chamber’s Nominating Committee, approved by the current board and then confirmed by chamber membership before her formal swearing-in.
“I am honored to be appointed to the Board of the Chesapeake Gateway Chamber of Commerce,” Coleman said. “Their mission to foster a strong economic environment and the support of families aligns closely with my personal and professional commitment to this community.”
For Coleman, the appointment represents both service and responsibility.
“As someone who lives and works in the region, I am deeply invested in enhancing the quality of life for all who call it home,” Coleman said.

Coleman’s involvement with the Chesapeake Gateway Chamber of Commerce spans more than three years. She said her engagement has already produced meaningful impact through legislation, which has directly touched families served through Arrow.
Coleman emphasized this board representation is critical for Arrow.
“It expands our network of community partners and opens the door to deeper dialogue around critical issues such as child welfare and special education,” Coleman said.
According to Coleman, she is grateful for this opportunity and excited to continue working alongside fellow board members to make a positive and lasting impact in their community.
Arrow celebrates Coleman’s much deserved accomplishment!
